Metamorphic Distortion

Metamorphic Distortion

A Poem by ObscurityNone
"

Angled

"

Inclined in time and served with a mascot

Several paths lead to your blind side

Without it, pragmatic and left over

Visualize king, and molest queen

Rob of you the tranquility of passion

Brought in suspended animation

Nowhere to run, plenty to hide

Husk of misguided pride

Wrapped gently around it

Clouded, with a chance of pain

Held too fast, steadfast in vain

Nice to know you, lady

But my agenda is quite clear

I go for myself, and none other

Than the refuge I seek

Morality at its peak, is a joke

Chalked up to be well, when all’s just as all is ever

Going to be, within and residing

Simply put and complex to place

Hindered well, and saved to face.

I liked this piece. The selfishness in it, and to choose pure for yourself, is an art.
Not many can do it, if you can, you are not instantly selfish, it is mostley also self-control, and self-esteem. Actually only a big EGO can choose for it. (so it means you have one), and are not afraid to admit it. ) Weather it can also be, the only choice one has... (it can be interpret in so many ways)... I know how it is, to take some space for the self... but otherwise what would I learn? not be and be loved by social contacts? I would be ending up like a lonely hermit (sometimes that is music in my ears) otherwise it is a suffocating future music... it is about balance... yep, again lol. Excellent piece!

That was intensely intricate. The "husk of misguided pride" stood out clearly at this particular reading. Much thought and possibilities to consider. Thanks for sharing.

~ "the tranquility of passion" is something i learnt today... i knew but i hadn't read it being articulated thus...

"Nowhere to run, plenty to hide

Husk of misguided pride"

~ are my favourite lines in this piece... they remind me of what a lot of us ail from... from time to time...

~ and, morality varies from culture to culture... ethics are universal... so, somehow i tend to think that "morality" is usually about posturing... but i could be wrong...

~ excellent work... triggered many thoughts...
