Grotesque Liquor

Grotesque Liquor

A Poem by ObscurityNone
"

Grin & Spread me black

"

Repent for the sins of that time

Lest dwell inside of what is, and not for what was

Simple notions, predispositions leave you wide open

Grave digging, hemmed and driven to be what you're hoping

Trying to find a blindside is farfetched, low & wreaking

Jest in protest and leave be, last time

I swear, simply because it brings release

Appearance granted, seed planted and grew

You knew, nothing done nonsensical lunged

Survival be granted, keep them planted lightly and slight

Slide, best you react in sabotage

Same goes with the way you and the words you call your own

Hit home, bleak memorized then simplified

Leave me again, I won't be a friend

I promise you that.

Thanks, little bird.
sharp and solemn stuff! I certainly wouldn't want to mess with this persona... it is resolute.... could be read to address oneself or as sending someone a message... a warning of sorts.....

Thanks, Circe. It certainly does sound as such, doesn't it?
