White Man's Lament

White Man's Lament

A Poem by ObscurityNone
"

YipIndeed

"

Try, try, again

Look in and forget

Step up to that plate and steer

Plot once more

Position goes fetal

Lower the chin, and even lower, the thought

Cringe at the ache, and spoil the lot

Symbolism dance a parabola on shades

Masquerade conceal the system withheld

Grandeur a spell, ravenous in doubt

Long haired eke out with twisted spired tendrils

Hang long at the front, hide sight from sight

Kneel to the stomach, bow the knee

Spread forward and chant in melancholy

Single most hopeful great daze

Transcend the empty trace

Fetch a good long cold

Cough the blood, and in with the new

Out with the bold

Cry a tear; smear it on that which is the cause…

Self

Induced

Melodrama
