Somewhere That Time Has Forgotten

Somewhere That Time Has Forgotten

A Poem by ObscurityNone
"

Another Quatern.

"

Somewhere that time has forgotten

 The will-o’-the-wisp in a trance

Shone through the fog of that dark land

Act as ones guide, and ones reaper

Apparitions appear for naught

Somewhere that time has forgotten

As welcoming as a hearth fire

Those who fall, I do not aspire

Dip into the cooling waters

A test of fate, for death you’ll meet

Somewhere that time has forgotten

You cannot escape, of their grasp

From up above of those that soar

To down below on marshland floor

You will meet your untimely end

Somewhere that time has forgotten

I really like the way that in most of the writing I have looked at so far of yours, you keep your verses short. It almost 'whips' you from each scenario to the next which is really effective and I also quite like the language you use - I've literally just finished reading Jane Eyre and Wide Sargasso Sea, and I get glimpses of similar language. Maybe reading continuously for so long has led me to a one-track mind of old language - who knows :P

But yes, I like this one too!

Thanks, man. I shall take that as a very good compliment. =)
