Facility Capture Chapter 2

Benedict continues his journey, Phoenix uncovers a deep dark secret. No one can be trusted. This is a short chapter and an update on their adventure.

Phoenix was just laying there for almost 2 hours, Sage laid with her  the whole time. The humans got them into their cage, Phoenix did not say one word at all. She could have attacked the humans, but she just sat there frozen. All night she did nothing but stare at the tall, grey building, her tears darkened most of her fur. The next morning she did the same thing, the humans were studying her reaction to the situation. They observed Phoenix was depressed, they soon found out that she was either related to him or mates.

2 months had passed since the incident, Phoenix put a smile on for everyone else. The pack was expecting some puppies from Morana and Benedict, the humans had made them mate. The wolves had earlier found out they had been they last wolf pack alive, this is why they had been captured and why all the tests were done. This came as a shock considering they had just thrown away Vixen like a piece of crap. Another 3 months had passed, it has been almost a year since they had been captured ,Phoenix had not forgotten about Vixen. Though everyone thought she did, the humans thought she did to she was really happy now, but every night she cried herself to sleep.

The next morning quickly approached, everything seemed normal but something extraordinary was about to happen. Phoenix was practicing as usual, then suddenly out of the blue Vixen came running out to Phoenix. Phoenix thought she was dreaming but quickly realized she wasn't, she started to cry and asked why did you leave me. He answered with a confusing sentence,¨ I had to because they needed me….¨. She said nothing, the rest of the pack ran up to him. His grey fur was now silver and his black markings now dark grey, no one cared all that mattered was he was back. The humans watched from afar, they studied how they reacted to  his returning. They realized Phoenix was his mate, everything was now right, well sort of.   Morana still knew something was up, Vixen did not seem the same. His personality was different, he did not act the same as usual. Vixen did not show the same affectionate for Phoenix as he usually did, Phoenix noticed this as well. She started to suspect things, she started to be afraid of Vixen and started to distance herself from him. Phoenix started noticing that the wolves and dogs around them were disappearing. The 2 legged would take them into the machinery room and they would not return. She feared the same fate for her pack members.

While everyone was trying to figure Vixen out she was ready to attack the humans. She told Benedict her theory on what happened to Vixen,” I think they put machine parts in him, I mean look around. Everyone we know is changing into machines or disappearing. After Vixen ‘died’ they brought him into the machinery room. It’s a bit odd.”

“You may be right, I will warn the others. We are no longer safe. The new recruit might be a spy, we will keep a close eye on her and everyone else. Including Vixen.”

“Thank you.” She said nothing else and just walked out.
