"

All you could here was wolves and dogs barking, each dog was followed by 3 humans. The wolves were a pack running from hunters, a pack of only 6. Phoenix, a burgundy wolf with cherry red flame markings going up her paws. Vixen, a grey male with a white underfur and black circles around his eyes and black socks. Sage a brown wolf with brown strike markings going down her back and white socks going up to her ankles. Benedict, a brown wolf with a darker brown patch on his back and different shades of brown for his socks. Syxela, a brown wolf with a black skull marking and a white underfur with a black line going down her back. Morana, a light grey wolf with a darker shade of grey socks and white underfur.

Morana and Benedict were the leaders, Morana was in the front leading and Benedict was in the back making sure no one strayed from the pack. The invaders weren't far behind and their dogs on the wolves´s  tail. The humans were hunting for ¨prizes¨, but Ana and Ben weren't going to let anything happen to them. Everyone in the pack was still training so it would be pointless to attack considering the humans had Olympia shotguns, one shot would either kill them or injure them and they would bleed out.  As they got closer to a dead end the humans started shooting, out of nowhere the wolves scaled the wall and finally got to their territory. At last, they were safe no one could no longer stray from the pack and they could rest from all the running. Ben walked over to the crystal clear pond covered with lily pads and lilies. He lapped the water and let everyone else drink after him. Ana tore meat from the elk they had hunted earlier, her face was no longer clean but covered in blood from the kill. Nighttime quickly approached, they all walked into the den the floor stone cold and the walls rigid.

The next morning Sage was crying, Ben walked over to her and saw her puppies had gone missing,¨Those damn humans, they deserve to die!¨ he shouted.

¨It wasn't the humans. It was……… me.¨Ben looked at her in shock, she explained her puppies were sick and were in excruciating pain. She did not want them to suffer, so she put them down. She walked back to the den with her head bowed, tears strolled down her face. Vixen and Phoenix were eating the last of the elk and were talking, he sent them on a hunting trip in the other direction from where they last met the humans. Syxela walked out with Morana as they were talking about rank plans, Syxela was the only one who had completed her training. Ben told Ana he was going to go sleep some more and she approved, he curled into a little ball and slowly closed his eyes. He must have been asleep for a while because when he woke up it was nighttime, the night sky was as black as the doberman chasing him the other day. He blinked a few times to gather himself, after a while he woke up and was back at home. Every night the dreams came back, every time he walked a little further from the den, after a month he finally slept long enough to explore. He took everything in and said this is just a dream, as he walked farther it got lighter at the end of the territory lay his pack dead, lifeless. He gasped and ran up to Morana´s body and nuzzled it he next ran up to his sister´s body, Syxela.  He cried then woke up from the nightmare,  Morana was right next to him nothing was wrong with her or anybody else.

Everyday he had had that dream, until one day they had finally stopped. He let out a sigh of relief because he finally got a restful sleep, he walked out of the den and lapped the murky green water. Vixen walked out and went up to him,¨ Phoenix is still asleep I can be out here all I want.¨ Ben did not say a thing to him. He was in shock from what he was looking at, Morana laying there limp. Lifeless. Suddenly he woke up and let out a great, big breath, Ana was asleep once again no one was hurt. He walked out and smelled humans, the scent wafted through the air. He woke everyone up and told them the humans were close, everyone woke up and started to run Morana in the front and Benedict in the back. The medic, Sage, in the middle, they ran all the way up the river. They had stopped after 15 miles of nonstop running, they all plopped down and drank the blue water. Suddenly a dog came after Sage, the doberman bit her leg she yelped in pain. More dogs came after them Vixen protected Phoenix as best as he could, but Vixen was taken down by a labrador. German shepherds came after Syxela, she brought one of them down but the other two brought her down. Morana and Benedict surrendered to the dogs and they were knocked out by the humans. They were all put in cages and shipped to a facility.

Once they woke up they all had collars and bands around their ankles. Each one said a number. 2 was Sage, 5 was Vixen, 8 was Phoenix, 1 was Syxela, 3 was Morana and 6 was Benedict. They were all worried and walked around in circles not knowing what to do, Morana was in the corner with Phoenix and they were both whimpering. Benedict walked over to them only to find a gash in the sides of their flanks. The humans walked in and tranquilized both of them including the others so they would not attack him. When Morana and Phoenix woke up they were strapped down to beds across from each other, they tried to reach for each other with no success. A tall man with pale eyes and dark, curly hair, he placed a test tube besides each table at pulled out a needle. He aimed the needle towards Morana, he slowly stuck the needle into her thick skin which was covered with dirt and grime. You could here the needle piercing through her skin, he put the blood he took into the test tube.

Morana squirmed trying to save Phoenix from this pointy monstrosity, she had no luck and layed back down as she was rolled back to the cage. Phoenix not far behind her, they had all been transported to different cages each holding one wolf. Morana curled into a little ball and started to cry, Benedict answered her cries and asked what was wrong, she answered,” When you’re an alpha you should feel like you are in control, not like you can’t even help your friend from a little prick.” She ignored all the barking from other creatures and closed her eyes. Benedict felt the same way and told everybody to just sleep and he will think of a way to get everyone out.

The next morning Vixen was gone and so was Phoenix, they soon found him defending his mate from dogs who were sent after her. Though he was still in training no one got past him when it came to defending his mate. Vixen had successfully defended his mate and the dogs took off running, he had run out of breath and plopped down on the ground. Phoenix quickly bowed her head towards him and told him to get up in a lovey-dovey voice. They both got up and were taken out by the tall man, Phoenix remembered him and attacked, she was beaten off and Vixen attacked as well for hurting his mate. He was not able to get Vixen of because he was in lockjaw state, he screamed in pain and Phoenix was unable to get up from the impact. He let go and ran towards her, he helped her up and stayed his ground the human tranquilized them both and carried them both back into their cages. He immediately went to the medical room and put a bandage over the wound, the wound would become a scar overtime.

Vixen was on schedule to be put down same with Phoenix, but the Boss would not have it. He denied the request for euthanization, and sent Jake, the tall man, on his way. He continued to train the wolves for the day, he was scared of Vixen and refused to train him he had to though. Sage was his favorite, she always listened and never caused any trouble he always trained her. As a medic she had to obey every command, it was in her nature she did not take a liking to this human, she wanted to rip out his throat as much as anyone else. She just obeyed, Vixen was taken out of training along with Syxela and Ana, they were both. to crazy to be training with humans. Benedict did not always obey as he was studying the structure of the building and other things that might make for a great escape. Phoenix was always depressed because she no longer saw Vixen, Vixen was always there to cheer her up and keep her happy.

Nothing was right between anyone or anything, the wolves would get beaten if they did not listen. Everyday they would leave the training facility with gashes and bruises. It would be like this for two months, everyday Phoenix attempted suicide but Ben tried his best to cheer her up. One day Vixen was let out including Syxela, after almost three months of being in a tiny kennel. Phoenix ran up to him and nuzzled him for 5 minutes, she noticed he was weaker than normal. He opened his mouth and his once white canines were covered with blood,¨ The things they did to me and her, I-I can't , I won't remember.¨ Phoenix now realized they were used for testing and other horrible things, tears darkened her burgundy fur. He nuzzled her back, and fell to the ground Phoenix dropped with him. She saw no sign of life, her two tears  turned into a waterfall of tears. The humans quickly responded, they picked up his lifeless body, when they picked him up he was limp. They took into this tall, grey building that looked to be where they took all the dead animals. Phoenix dropped and just layed there with a blank stare on her face
