THE WAY

THE WAY

A Poem by Scott

There was a painful battle raging in my head; fists being thrown, spears flying through the air digging deep into their target and masks being warn to cover up and hide the mess that had been created.  A storm of memories fought each other in a dance to guide me to the truth.  The voices in my head ripped and gnawed at my soul to have there way with it…..

Then as I felt I couldn’t take anymore, I closed my eyes and I heard a voice.

The voice said, “Breathe, be still and let me take over the rest of the way"

I looked around but saw no one…..................but the words ran through me like warm honey.

i really like this! there are a couple of places that could use smoothing, and it could definitely be formatted a little more to add a better flow - but you have a real kernel here to build on - i look forward to reading more of your work!
