Body.

Body.

A Poem by Shawna Powell
"

After bathing I came really intouch with how water felt. Wanted to do something creative with that feeling.

"
this is my body
my naked truth
covered in secrets

this is my lonliness
my comfort, my time

each droplet of water
trickling down, down, down
to the depths of something private
something to hide

tumbling in darkness
no words to speak

cold stripes of purity
sketching thoughts in my mind
more than naked after all

This won't make much sense to anyone, I tried to pour so many thoughts into this I think it's become a mushed up load of junk, but it means a lot to me. Let me know if you can follow. I'd like to know how everyone translates this.

Well what I got is that your saying this who I really am behind all the fake walls and fake smiles I put up. Basically the message I got is that this is who I really am.
Great job. Enjoyed thinking about your poem.
