The Loneliest Girl on Earth

The Loneliest Girl on Earth

A Poem by Nyx

Poor little Willow, for she was the loneliest girl on earth. She could neither be seen nor heard. Yet every day Willow would hope that today she would fly like a bird.

Poor little Willow, went down to the playgrounds. It was a sunny and beautiful day. Still she could not cast a shadow and nobody could see her play.

Poor little Willow, when she had to play alone. She left no prints in the sand. Watching as mothers came to pick up their children, walking away hand in hand.

Poor little Willow, as she was walking home again. It was so difficult to comprehend. Always walking alone every day just longing for a friend.

Poor little Willow, closed her eyes as she lay down to die. It was a dark and rainy night. Cold and alone she drew her final breath and knew she would never take flight.
