Autumn's Dawn

Autumn's Dawn

A Poem by NymphetamineDame
"

I was sitting on a rock and looked at my surroundings.

"
Trees fallen in the pathways
Leaves rest upon the earth
Squirrels scurry amongst the trees
Hissing and chattering

Breath now fogs in the air
Extremities brisk to the touch
Goosebumps violate the skin
Shivering consumes

Autumn is afoot
Soon the snow will blanket these grounds
A beautiful death
That only reveals itself once a year

It pays to sit on rocks. :) Observation is one of the strongest traits of a poet. Your descriptions are poetic in nature. You have a skilled pen and it shows. Great poem.
