Dear EmalieA Poem by NymphetamineDameSometimes I write to myself.
Who are you to judge me?
But, then again, who am I to judge you The story is always the same you see And the ones you looked up to, will throw you away. You think deep down that you may finally find someone Someone in which you would risk anything for Who would surely treasure your soul But can you honestly agree with yourself now? A letter I will write to myself Dear Emalie, Do you know what is inside? Can you peer into your core? Inside your heart, do you understand? Can you handle the feeling known as love? Do you understand what I am saying? Is English the language which it speaks? Your soul, is it pure and new? Do you keep any dark enough secrets which would cause an angel to weep? Within that soul, is there anyone else? Are you even listening to me? Sometimes I look into those eyes and see a gaping hole Yes, that Do not look up at me with those eyes I just cannot bare it. Yes, I know you long for happiness And I know you are a gentle creature But you see, Emalie, Sometimes there is no other half for a person and that human is meant to be alone. There will never be another half to fill your heart There will be no lustful bliss No love But, you will have strength if you peer past the core.
