Charis Vocabulary

This is the vocabulary reference for the story I'm writing, titled "Charis"

Rules for Darastrix slang in Charis:

   1. if it is plural, add an “i” to the end; all words listed here that are not in reference to how they will always be used in writings will be written in plural form. Remove the final “i” to get the singular version of the word.

   2. the date in Charis is always spoken & written in this format: (Day of the week), (Number of the Day) of (Month); for example: “irral, 1 of ir.” which translates to “First, 1 of One.”… OR “fogahral, 9 of vakil.” which translates to “Third, 9 of Seven.” There are nine months in the Charis calendar, each consisting of 42 days split into seven weeks.

   Welun - Moon (Charis has two Weluni with opposing cycles, they are never both present in full capacity at the same time.)

   B.D. & P.D. -    similar to Earth’s “B.C. & A.D.” - used to determine length of time from the event known as “The Departure” which took place in roughly 13,017 B.D. (It is currently 3,604 P.D. in Charis.)

   Kurjhar - translates to Owners. They were the primary race from Rygat,                scholars speculate they were something similar to the mindflare race. They are also often referred to as “the Khilesari” in early Darastrix histories.
