Seasons To Be ForgottenA Poem by Nutella Wolf [Alias: Samantha Klein]The buds are born Sun aligns with ground Chimes of the feathered The freezing horizon They celebrate Spring The sunny beach The quarter of life Now a crisp block of ice As hibernation ends Life wakes up cold All animals collide Everywhere, blinding light To repeat Nature’s way We want to be gone. Waves roll in Then we realize: Heat, and water This has happened all year The sun beats down The ground is too cold; On the creatures and us The sky is too hot The heat is too much We complain and complain But the fun, And forget the beauty There’s a bunch! In the core of life Then the leaves fall Instead we miss The colors all there The memories behind Spice comforts all And those ahead Soon, the trees are bare Left to be cherished. Cold creeps up Slide our boots on We step; CRUNCH© 2014 Nutella Wolf [Alias: Samantha Klein] |
