Sparks of ardor
     clang of molten ichor

Whispered billows haunt
     crackling shadows
           of a broken man; alone
       

Singed hair // dripping sweat

      to accompany the dysphoric dirge

            of this, his lugubrious hammer

[Striking]

Weary

    tempered

          resolve...

Burn away, slagged memories

      reviving embers, of a waylaid heart

Forge anew, shattered ingots

      quenching each day's sorrow

             through endless night

glad you did finish this one...love the metaphor...our hearts often get welded to pain...and there is that constant tip of blue flame as we just keep trying to solder the heart back together...but splicing the separation is a 24/7 job, for the rest of our lives.
also really like the play on words with the title.

I am glad you enjoyed this one! It was originally intended as a collab, which never went through. I remembered it the other day, and decided to finish it by myself. Take my lines and put them together. Staring at it I couldn't decide what to name it; but then I had a pun come to mind. :D
