You'll Never Know

You'll Never Know

A Poem by Jeffrey

You will never know
How much I love to see your smiling face
You will never know
How I long to hear your musical laugh
You will never know
How I yearn to feel the touch of your skin
You will never know
How I wish to taste your kiss
You will never know
How my heart jumps when I smell your sweet perfume

It breaks my heart to know
How much you'll never know
But not as much as
it breaks my heart to know
That you don't exist
Only in my dreams
My angel in the mist

On my lunch break..I have time for one quick review. I'm all too familiar with how it feels to love a ghost. I also used to have a best friend all through high school that I loved, and he never knew how much and visa versa until it was too late. So the "not knowing" part can at times save us from pain, the whole ignorance is bliss ananolgy. But it can also damn us from being with the "one."

To be in love with someone unreachable is pain. To be in love with someone non-existent is hell.

Interesting. I thought at first unrequited love and in a way I guess it is. Nice job.

Only in my dreams, my angel in the mist. Great write. Keep on dreaming for they become reality.
