The Beginning

V Survival Story

Decemember 20, 2012

10:15 P.M.

 

 I sat on the couch with Adam watching the nightly news after a hard day of work. Today was normal enough, lots of paperwork, a papercut right on my knuckle and a few bitchy tenants. Adam had pipe burst and alot of angry residents to deal with. Just another normal day at the apartments.

 

 We both stared blankly at the TV lost in our own thoughts listen to only half of what the reports were about. "3 people killed in downtown Detroit" "Several break-ins around greater Detroit area" "A victim of a supposed animal attack near South Michigan University is hospitalized" Again to us this was sad but normal enough news.

 

 We didnt talk much that night, both of us drained of our energy. I changed the channel to an all night House marathon before falling asleep to the background noise of the tv and the soft snores coming from Adam.

 

 

 

We should of paid more attention to the news, we wouldve been alittle more prepared for what was about to happen to our lives once we woke up to the morning of 12/21/12.

 

 

 

Author's Note

Hey Everyone! This is my first attempt at writing a full story. I would like to be able to construct a more realistic response to a zombie apocalypse and I hope that is what I am accomplishing. Being new to this I would love to get Pos/Neg feedback about the characters are they defined enough? Can you relate to their reactions? Does the storyline seems more realistic then other zombie stories??
Now I am not done writing the whole story yet so I will keep on posting as I finish!!
