My first poem ever. I don't know what it means in a specific sense, but I wanted to convey the importance of poetry and how words create the fabric of society around us.

words.

words that are small.

words that are large.

words that are beautiful and bright and ugly and.

grimy.

slimy.

words that rhyme as easily...

words that become poetry. words.

words that join together. sentences.

sentences that summon emotion.

sentences that direct, demand, and question.

sentences so cohesive, so make sense to us.

sentences that inspire.

sentences with the power of pure magic.

sentences which small men use top make themselves seem bigger.

sentences that anger!

sentences that become poetry. sentences.

sentences that join together. paragraphs.

paragraphs that express,

paragraphs that instruct,

paragraphs that show, explain, reason.

paragraphs that become beauty and hatred

and religion and racism.

paragraphs that become society,

paragraphs that become laws.
