Imposed Exposure

Imposed Exposure

A Poem by Shyamal R Swamy

In soft silk cotton I lay,
Caressed by warmth all day,
Mom like veil protected from sight
Of that glaring broad day light.
It was a glowing darkness.
A warmth. A caress.

Ah! The veil was snatched,
My nest was latched,
My darkness shooed away,
By that arrogant light of the day.
Ah! This singeing glare.
No caress. No care.

Now I lay, thrown out bare,
Exposed to many a snare,
Deceiving smiles cover fangs,
They lurk around in gangs.
And, fear stifles this mope.
No smiles. No hope.

Stripped I am for thorns. Bareness imposed.
Exposed. So blatantly exposed.

oh, I am so dipressed.

A very effective start. Great grief, and a msg too.

Now I lay, thrown out bare,
Exposed to many a snare,
Deceiving smiles cover fangs,
They lurk around in gangs.
And, fear stifles this mope.
No smiles. No hope.
