Remember Her

Remember Her

A Poem by NANA
"

A scared and confused young mother

"
There's a girl in your bed
that you once said you'd like to marry.
Remember her?

There's a girl in your shower
you once bought a dozen roses.
Remember her?

There's a girl in the kitchen,
but she's not completely there
Cause she's hungry and alone
and the cabinets are bare
and she's carrying your baby
and she thinks she's going crazy
and she keeps on thinking maybe
you don't want to
Remember her.

There's a knife in the drawer
There are razors galore
There are swords on the wall
But don't be silly, you're too scared
and there's a child after all.

Remember her
Remember her
Remember her
Remember you.
