Tell MeA Poem by November GoldWho am I, and who are you, and we do we intersect?Tell me a story about who I am Tell me how I came to be... Tell me what you felt when you first saw me please tell me about me. Tell me that you felt the space where my tiny hand would have fit... Tell me why you walked away and why you ever quit. I need to know that you loved me I need to feel like I existed The spaces you should have filled remain empty and have left me feeling twisted. Unprotected and wounded, a fragile heart alone I tried to choke it down, but no matter how I pushed and forced it kept coming back around. Tell me that you thought of me please come to me now... Speak to me of angels and mercy Guide me, tell me how. Tell me how I go forward, and how to be loved... tell me that you've got me even tho from so far above. I long to share my words with you and ask for your advice I long for a just a single moment and would willingly sacrifice If I could have just one to ask you what I desperately need to know If you had it to do over, would your love for me show? I see you everyday as I look into the mirror and sometimes I imagine I hear you and feel you drawing nearer. Tell me that I meant something to you that you never forgot my face Tell me that I mattered and that within your heart had my own special place.
