The Voice

The Voice Within

 

It’s the one that tells you how to love,

The one you often choose to ignore.

It’s the place that speaks of forgiveness, upon which you

Quickly close the door.

 

It’s the voice of reason when things go awry,

The one that tells you to live,

When you just want to die.

 

It’s the voice of love and reassurance, when none can be found;

It’s a voice that gently soothes you when you feel you are coming unwound.

It’s a voice that feeds the fire of love and hope within,

It teaches you about letting go and tells you how to begin.

 

There is no need to search far and wide-

Just listen carefully for this voice, from you, will not hide.

It’s your voice…..the voice within.

Voice searching...definitely a plus! I adore how you used this line in particular, "The voice of reason tells you to live when you just want to die." Sometimes we have to pull out every aspect of inner strength and much more just to be able to keep on breathing, you portrayed this accurate and clear cut, raw.
