Safe Haven

Safe Haven

A Poem by Jaja Reigns

  Cold Wind, High trees
Faded fire from a small lamp
In the middle of this dark night
With your arms wrapped around mine

Small cabin, single bed
Deep talks and a body heat
Planting kisses right on my neck
Made me shiver that reached my spine

Tangerine Sky and Yellow ball of fire
Watching it while our hands are intertwined
Blue Ocean tide glows while drenching the sand
As we played with it when the waves touched our feet

A home for my fragile heart
A place that can calm my mind
The exact place I always dreamt of
A safe haven that is needed for my soul
