Those that hurt

Constantly amazed.
How quickly things change.

Going from having someone 
To having no one
In the time it takes
For someone ELSE
To walk in the door

Pushed back to number two
Suddenly second choice.
Til something goes wrong
And then the first one called.

Abandoned, forgotten
With no one left when the pain get bad
Because the ones supposed to heal
Are the ones that hurt
And they have made their choice.

Knowing that I will never leave
Knowing I will be here waiting
They know they have nothing to lose
And I lose my everything

This is life.
Things always end.
Someone always leaves.
Someone is always left.
I refuse to leave.
So where does that leave me?
