difference: phoenixize

difference: phoenixize

A Poem by Nothing Personal
"

an anatomy of difference..

"
The difference
between the lost wings
of a butterfly
and the smile lost in the
oblivion of time is that
freedom can be lost but regained,
revitalized, reinforced at sea shores
early morning during valiant sunrise
with
careful practice and self belief
but forlorn love,
rusticated in dilapidated houses
with endless rain falling through its now absent rooftop
can never ever
phoenixize from its ashes.

I do believe you are correct, love that is cold and dead can never rise anew; however if there is still a bit of heat and anger, it is sometimes possible. Love is a damn tough critter and it takes a lot to kill it and once it is dead, you will know, all the anger will be gone and only a sad emptiness where love once dwelt.
You have penned a very interesting piece, I sense some loss and regret, hope that if becomes a series, you will have more joy in your life.

Excellent work! One of your very best pieces. The idea is so succinctly conveyed in poetic mastery, with just the one main comparison which says everything. This is definitely going in my library of faves.

.
. but of course ... i agree with my coach ... truly remarkable ... i do not know why but i don't somehow like the image of rising from ashes ... i don't find it marvelous ... for instance ... i find eklavya marvelous ... he's one of my heroes ... (i'm assuming you know the story because you follow my hindustani poetry and seem tuned to india enough to know kailash kher too) ...

Great analogy. Since a butterfly is already a symbol of new beginnings, it is a great way of saying that there is always a second chance. This a lovely way of expressing eternal chances and changes.

No ... once romantic love is destroyed it never comes back. (However, true love has nothing to do with romance, and it never dies.)
