WorthA Poem by Nothing PersonalI am keeping a taring machine in my attic. You all are free to drop by anytime to measure your "worth" :-)
Worth is not measured in innate quality
Rather the outer package is but all. They have an invisible logbook kept in space Where unknown friends with subaltern egos Give a tick and make note Who is absent Presence or absence indeed determines worth. Bullshit sets standards so there's nothing new to set You can run all day in the tread mill But you cannot lose a single ounce of sticks and wings you ate. You cannot possibly have an outer life But you need to live a worthless real life To prove your worth there Possibly because your worth In the big bad world is worthless. Don't play around with the stringent rules Play along with lies and sweet words if you're smart Live in a fool's paradise if you are not. I would like to laugh silently but with stupendous force So that thousands of waterfalls set off like canons In a ballistic missile fight between post war Russia and the US A war never fought Simply because it's foolish Fools fly and for the same reason Fools die first. Some have run away or have spit out The spit has but fallen back on them Because anger is a weak sign When bellowing bulls fight with magical cats It is anybody's guess which side I am on. I have striven to prove my worth I guess so have you The only difference between you and me is I have a life and have worth in it Whereas you I am sorry to say (It is sad but true) Have none. © Nothing Personal.
