Catharsis

A Poem by Nothing Personal
"

On taking out in paper what's on the mind..or was it?

"
No, I'm tired of fame and publicity tonight.
After all, I have to return
Return to the cold, lifeless form
Shell life of a fragile jellyfish
The seas have promised me nothing
They have taken away my niche.

When sea horses play in water
They forget to see the fish around
Encircling them
Giving them water and small elliptical flows.
Busy they are, with their game.

Life's best decisions are never undone
Ctrl+Z is not a option.

Bad, obnoxious odor of good tasting tea
Never leaves the mouth
I have brushed but I haven't really brushed
Hair has grown from my past
Past my neck and my broad shoulders
Jackets are short, they never cover the cold
Brown T-shirts always lurk out.

You can ban torrents
But can you ban the spirit of movie-watcher
Whether it's porn or a good old movie
Internet will be taxed and I will oversee.

Even if you sit on the terrace
Even if you stare at the sun
The rooms are always numb
Cold, damp air
Alien's presence everywhere.

Sometimes even piss and s**t is disgusting
The cold water trickle my a*s
And numb my bare fingers
And bathrooms don't get dry
At least no sooner.

I remember and I remember
I can't reshuffle
Hazy priorities have undone me
And so have the winter.

Please show the way to a sunny morning
For corn fields do the wait
I need to take a shower which really cleans me up
And I need to breathe again, fresh air.

Claustrophobic with excessive people
As privacy diminishes with time
Vanishing souls do increase privacy
But at what cost, O dear mine?

So sun won't shine at the dingy little corner
Dirty mosses will grow
My mind and body's a retarded soul
Please leave me and let me go.

Goodbye frustration
Goodbye tiredness
Goodbye overfeeding
Goodbye me and my f***** up soul.

This is a very vivid poem that captures the reader's attention. The hopelessness is shown very clearly even when the narrator of the poem think of a different location.
It should be fish not fishes. Fish is the plural

Can one change destiny? I think what I got from this is maybe different. I see the people of our country upset about this our that, we disagree with bail outs but they had to happen and even when we complained it changes nothing. Our destiny seems is out of our hands even in this great domacracy. Well said poetry.

F*****g A.
Let em know. There is nothing to be said here. One can only as which way does the s**t roll down hill?
I saw it as here? A few people thing a zillion friends means your some sort of f*****g super hero.
I got news Jack, those twats are just as sickened as the rest of us lowly lifeforms.
I think you tackle that feeling excellently near the end when yes, we do live in the dark with the moss, muck and mire.

The smaller the pond the bigger the fish.
We all just sling words for a collection of nobody's.

This was f*****g earth moving.
and true.

Nice read

Great piece. I like tales from the troubled souls. They are always so much more interesting.

Interesting! You have taken a shot at some of the most troubling challenges we as a people are faced with big bro watching are every move, soon all civil liberties will be stripped from us and we will be subject to the will of the Shadow Government that currently controls the world. Do we lay down and die as you suggest or do we secretly organize and rise up as citizens of the world! Well Done!

I wouldn't like to be famous. I like peace and quiet. Would be a hard way to go if people wouldn't give you time to think. A sad tale in the poem. I was station in Monterey, Ca. for three years. I saw famous people. I left them to their own life. The poem description was entertaining. A interesting ending to the poem.
