Blue

Blue

A Poem by Nothing Personal

She is beautiful,
In her own kind of a way.
Moody, impulsive you would say
I would say she is real, only real.

I would like to touch her hand softly,
Look at her intent eyes ;
Voyeur her as she sips coffee with icecream
on an unknown parlor in Paris.

I would follow her
As she takes a stroll to the market
The bookstore and the court.

Follow her eyes always,
They have something to say,
Something that stirs something inside me.
At least i would like to think so.

I am sure she would not mind.
She never did when Kieslowski
followed her life and made her a movie
And Roger Ebert said its great.

But she seeks isolation.
She does not seek me or you
Even if she might tell you the opposite.

She wants to sever all those ties
Which attach her , bound her
and eventually implode inside her
Like a pent up storm.

But just like music
that exists when flute , sol
piano , violin all are in harmony
Life does too.

Although we seek liberty,
We run into love.
Although we seek freedom,
We run into commitment.

And into Warmth, Comfort
Despair, Crave, Passion.
Though the color is blue,
We can see the rainbow.

The 1st few stanzas were very attractive, even if the girl's identity was a bit confusing, then again, she might have been a symbol. The flow, word choice, and pure, plain wisdom in your poem made it a very special piece.

Though the color is blue,
We can see the rainbow.

Beautiful art. Thank you.

Very nice. I could see her hips sway as she walks and feel her angst as she rebels against attachment.

Your poetry is exquisite! It speaks to me as much as mine does to me. A kindred soul, perhaps...
I will read more, most definitely!

For whatever reason, as soon as I started reading this, I pictured a new-era Etta James singing it. Very beautiful.

Very inspiring poem! I loved the beginning and end. It is both personal and universal, everyone can connect to this poem in their own way.
