I Go Where You Go

I Go Where You Go

A Poem by Northern Woman

I went to scream,
But He put a finger to his lips,
I choked my cry.

He pointed to The Forest,
Into The Black Beyond,
Into the Place of Death.

I went to pull on His arm,
To try to save us both,
But He pushed me away.

He rose from the boat,
And stood tall,
He was a magnificent sight.

He turned and spoke to me,
"Come with me, my friend,
I won't lead you wrong."

I had to go where he went,
But I knew,
That I would never see The Fjord again.

I have felt that there is a story behind this. I like it...:).......
