Thought Waves

Thought Waves

A Poem by NotchHero

My thoughts are always in motion,
Never resting, never ceasing,
Scattered, chaotic.
Yet when I see you,
It's like a magnet,
Pulling needles from the straw,
My mind becomes focused,
Only thinking thoughts about you.
And when you pass,
The Chaos returns,
Engulfing me,
Submerging me,
Drowning me.
So before you go,
Build me a raft,
That I may ride on,
And survive the rushing waves,
That threaten every time you leave.
Let me try to survive,
In this hurricane of thought,
That has little to do with you.
I fear that if you leave,
I will never be found again.
