A Story by NotchHero

I'm not really one for stories. I don't like telling them. Everything I say just kind of feels.... wrong. I don't know.. But for this, I will make an attempt to tell it. She was just another face in the crowd. Another face that hid yet another judge, I felt. when she came up beside me, I didn't think much of it; I was used to being alone, to being judged. It wouldn't matter if she hated me for what I did or how I dressed, I didn't care anymore. For some reason she started talking to me. I don't remember exactly what she said, but she started talking about our school's colors. Green and Gold. Such a strange combination. Perhaps it was my imagination, but I thought she wasn't quite so bad, despite her dyed hair and her choker. My past started coming back trying to figure out why such a person, who was so desperate for attention that she would sink to dying her hair orange, would want to talk to me.She saw my necklace and she asked me about it. I told her it was my zodiac sign, Leo, complete with tiger eye stone. She mentioned that she had a similar necklace for her zodiac sign. As the bell rang to signal the end of sixth period, she gathered her stuff and walked away from me, good riddance I thought, only to walk back into my life once again. We took our seats in seventh period and I tried to ignore her for the rest of the day. At the end of class, I got up and raced out of the room, eager to get away. Yet, as time passed, I found her becoming less of a nuisance and more of a friend. before I knew it, I looked forward to seeing her in sixth and seventh period.
Then, one day, our seventh period class went to the computer lab to work on a couple of essays and she sat down right next to me. At some point she put her legs over mine and we stayed like that for the rest of the day. It was then that i realized that I actually was in love with her. The next day, she did the same thing, and continued to do so for the next few days. Eventually, I decided to run my hand across her leg. The next day, I decided to test how far she'd let me go. And so, for the next two or three months, I began to test it. Then, she walked out of the school doors, right beside me and began to follow me home. when we reached my house, she began getting a little nervous and then she started to head back towards the school. I was about to open my garage door, when I decided to look back and I saw her walking back towards me, quickly. She came right up to me and, when I asked her what she wanted, she replied I knew what she wanted. She then proceeded to steal a kiss from me. Taken aback, I didn't react at first. But when I got my wits about me again, I pulled her back in and kissed her.
He next few days, all I could think about was that kiss. Her lips, sweeter than candy, her eyes, closed almost as if in sleep, her body, pressed up against mine, the perfect moment of bliss. She followed me home a week after the kiss, but halfway there, we stopped and she pulled me in for a kiss. We stood there and kissed on and off for the next half and hour, until she had to go home...

Those were the days I want to remember forever.

What happened next?

A couple of months passed, she only kissed me a couple of times in those months. She said she was waiting for summer before things could work themselves out. I was content to wait, but in the back of my head, I heard the sound of the ticking clock..
I knew it was only a matter of time before one of us broke or stopped loving the other. With so much strain, it would only be a matter of time. I just kept hoping it would hold until summer break...

It's almost sad yet at the same time has a hint of joy hidden deep within it.
