The Stories of OurselvesA Poem by NotchHeroYou are not string of words, not a sentence, not a poem, not a tale, not a book, but a story. You don't have to ever sell more than one copy to make the bestseller list. All you are is indescribable, yet so clear, so open, so unique. Your story cannot be handed down through the centuries, but it will be remembered; Remembered by the ones you loved the most but their versions of you, my version of you cannot compare to you. An impression is merely that; an impression of the surface, in all its detail. That is not what knowing a person means. To know someone is to understand with every fiber of your being that no matter how hard you try, You could never perfectly capture a person, yet you know without a doubt, How they will act, feel and who they will associate with. I cannot know anyone like this, for I have not known someone this long. Yet I know that I have taken the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference, For by meeting you, I can know my life has a purpose, I just have to figure it out, to find it in this web of lies and mystery we call life. © 2016 NotchHeroFeatured Review
