Streets of the Third Coast

Streets of the Third Coast

A Poem by Zoie Isabelle Salas
"

Another story of Love over life.

"
Streets of the Third Coast
An avalanche of bitter farewell
Draining the heart of imperceptive
Blunt tongue thick as ice
Take leave of ones senses
The eye took us afloat
Lost in the cloud
Breathing the mist of brooded life

Grasp us back to broad rime
Cascading pure Adam's ale
Vital force against form
Conquering both entities
Holding on to the dark lanterns
Of the streets of the third coast

This poem is very complex in language. I needed to read it several times, in chunks to understand it.
I like the Third Coast nickname, I didn't know that.

Great poem, the ones that make your neurons start working are the best!
