The Magic Act

The Magic Act

A Poem by Zoie Isabelle Salas

The Magic Act

Red eyes with strong intention
Great force in another dimension
Behind the curtain he reached out
A lady with staples around her mouth
Plastering a transparent smile
'Sinister' written all over the aisle
Sun down approach with nudity and flaws
Massive attempts; her fingers are crossed
Holding the magician with hesitation
Leading her to the final destination
A sadist mirrored cage
covered with shadow & more darker shades
clasping on to the sheet
He pulled and she disappeared
Silence filled the stadium
As she breathe her last at the taste of freedom
