Insomnia Nightmare

Insomnia Nightmare

A Poem by Chaos Complex

Losing my sense of direction,
What's up is down,
What's down is gone.
Deflowered?
More like deforested...
The sanctuary where I kept dreams safe,
Has been torched.
What I love has dissolved into dusts.
Ashes that desperately try to grab onto my hands,
While dragged off by the laughing wind.
And the world moves on,
As my fantasies die one at a time.
After mourning each fallen beauty-
Reality lays next to me.
Not to comfort me in warmth and affection,
But to remind me that I'm wed to her.
She says:
"Everything else that could come between us,
Dreams and imagination,
Can never take away our bond."
Our sick, pessimistic bond.
Eternal slumber is the only escape,
From her broken-record chant.
But for now,
She's given me insomnia.

About
I like to express my emotions and feelings in poetry. I write a lot of rap/hip hop stuff. I'm really vulgar. Deal with it. I don't get many reviews, but thank you to those who even bother to re.. more..
