Return To SenderA Poem by Chaos Complex
They told me I could never achieve-
But blood, sweat, and tears could be seen When I made the pen bleed. Cutting up the paper like pale white flesh; This is a Death Note from my lead, But you got the "L's" over your forehead! Shredded up the construction paper, Built me from scratch. No catch- It's all free. I do me. You try to rape my character, I'll put you on an IV. Survive these- Heavy machete pen strikes. It's like gashing open a windpipe- When they gasp in amazement. Laying down the beginning of my foundation, And smoothing out the pavement- Let me tell it to the worms, And break it down in laymen terms. You ain't getting the Holy Grail, Only a mock urn. Cause I own it; I got every component to make it grant my every true wish. This is my world- F*ck Wayne's; I'm not on anyone's lanes, I'm up high like the Jetson's. And I could give a sh*t about the words of discretion, Like a Spartan stating my profession, I'ma scream with the lungs of a warrior- And die like a King... Leaving a better tomorrow for my loved ones, After I wrap up my present. And it's as if I was heaven sent, And rejected by this earth, Send me back- I'll be waiting for my next rebirth. © 2009 Chaos Complex |
