Country Love

Country Love

A Poem by NotAboutMe
"

A song about my wife and our first country home

"

Country Love

She’s got flowers everywhere and baskets on the ceiling,

and a lot of sort of things that give our home a country feeling.

She’s got herbs in the garden and tomatoes on the vine,

And her cooking is the best when it comes to supper time.

Well I don’t know what God’s cooking up above,

But my baby’s in the kitchen and she’s cooking country love.

She’s got books about magic and books about romancing,

And she turns the speakers up when she really feels like dancing.

She likes to sing a song and she’s always keeping busy.

The way she runs around the house it’s enough to make you dizzy.

Well she never gets tired and she’s never had enough,

When she runs around the house and she’s full of country love.

Well she’s got a pickup truck and she likes to go four wheeling.

She can really kick up gravel and she keeps the tires squealing.

Well she dresses up in dresses but she’s just a nice in jeans.

She’s all candle light and kisses like you dream about in dreams.

Well my honey’s sweet as honey she got me cooing like a dove.

God I really love her when she’s making country love.

Well I don’t know what god’s cooking up above,

But my baby’s in the kitchen and she’s cooking country love.
