Surrounded by Zombies

Surrounded by Zombies, the walking dead

Walking not talking, not lifting their head

They keep moving forward, illusions of life

But blind to living, and beautiful wildlife

Everywhere Zombies, on the streets and in cars

Out eating dinner, and drinking in bars

Looking through windows, I see them in homes

Sitting with children, yet distant as stones

Multiplying Zombies, I see more every day

I even see young ones, who don't even play

What happened to the living, where did they go

Will they ever come back, I hardly think so

Comatose Zombies, get up and rise

Lift up your heads and open your eyes

Stop being enslaved as industries' clones

It's time to wake up and put down your phones

Gee
The youth of today, bereft of the art of conversation, a prison pallor from there self imposed bedroom confinement and RSI to fingers. Another good piece

Yeah, I can't disagree with this. There's so much that people are missing out on, and the youth especially...

Well written and sends a clear message. It's true, many people gaze into their phones or tablets more than they do the world around them. I know a few people who are really bad with it, even sitting on their phones constantly while driving. Thanks for sharing this truthful, thought provoking write.
