sinnerA Poem by Leigh Kennalove stings
a bloody alcoholic with tragedies in his knuckles and ashes in his veins
bleeding lungs inhaling smoke like air and exhaling scribbled art like salvation shoulder blades that mimic angel wings and skylines and mountain ridges crooked halo and filthy hands clutching dead roses dripping clumsy apologies i choke out coughs from his cigarette smoke and it burns like hard vodka at 4am © 2018 Leigh Kenna |
