Sea Change
Feeling up tight, went out for a run Hurricane winds, it's gonna be fun Finding it tough, I jog down to the sea Nothing quite like it to set your mind free Having a blast, in the teeth of a gale Suddenly think of the girl in the veil What can I send her to make her feel proud? Poetic perfection, with meter endowed When collaborating, that's always the plan Especially with someone of whom you're a fan But when faced by PJ I'm feeling quite frail Who knows what great trials will arrive by email? Striding along to a powerful beat It's her inspiration driving my feet Enjoying the spongey feel of the sand Words fly round my head, completely unplanned Missing the red flags, my feet started sinking This collaboration idea, what was I thinking? Just know from experience the ultimate test If you want to get better, you must work with the best © 2011 northern monkeyAuthor's Note
