Lifeless

Lifeless

A Poem by Northend

I sit alone on this porch
realing from what i just did,
holding my hands
feeling the cold blood drip from them.
a new feeling
to this lifeless body,
letting myself go lifeless
as the ant i just stepped on.
just an easy step,
staying alive is the hard part.

I look up to see you standing there,
i jump up and say your name,
but just like that your gone,
and again i am alone
on this cold street,
with a hole in my chest.

Crying to the moon,
pleading, wanting, hopeing
that she will come home.
that she will be the one,
that i could show,
the one that holds me in whole,
that i cant live anther day with out her.
knowing i am a step away from this Cliff.

I take my final step,
knowing its my last
then i hear your voice,
your telling me simple words,
"dont leave just yet."

A very passionate write. I think being driven to the edge of ourselves we always hope to hear those last words by the one we love.. It always makes me wonder what happens in the moments when someone succeeds in taking that last step.. would it matter if they waited just one more minute..hour or day? Excellent write..x
