Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood

A Poem by Noriene

She sets out of her home
So full of light and hope
Her final destination- Grandma's home
Little Red Riding Hood

The woods are cold
The trees and their branches humanoid
Does Death lurk here?
She wonders

A wolf named Death
Stands in front of her
He smiles at her
She smiles back

Death says he knows the way
To Grandma's home
The talk on the way
He makes her laugh

Little Red Riding Hood is captivated
By his smile
By his wit
By his undeniable charisma

Death leads her to his home
She forgets Grandma

Little Red Riding Hood is never to be found

The townspeople talk
They speak of Death's new companion
The bride drenched in red
Her name?
Crimson Death
