Chapter 2

Chapter 2

A Chapter by Noofwise

Erick lay on his bed staring at the ceiling. Thoughts of the park were in his mind.He thought about how comfortable the bench would be right now. A bed of nails far away from where he was now would have been more comfortable at the moment. Nothing seemed right about where he was. This place, these people. He was way out of place and completely misunderstood. Thoughts of never escaping crept into his brain and made a bed of fear there. Never escaping. Such a hard thought for him. He swallowed hard and clenched his teeth. Fighting the urge to cry, he spoke softly to himself, "I'll never get out of here."
At that, his eyes began to get cloudy. Erick closed his eyes as fresh tears streaked down his cheeks. His heart was breaking, and breaking fast. This was no gradual let down. It was a hard, fast, merciless slaughtering of every sense of sanity, compassion, and love he had in him. Now, his heart was broken, and it wasn't just an expression. He felt it crumble as it fell from whole. Pain rushed through him like drugs injected into a vein. His head spun and felt as if his mind would explode and leave him brain dead. All Erick could do was climb into the floor, sit next to his bed, hug his knees to his chest and cry.
He hoped soon this would all be over. He hoped his depression would stop tormenting him and ripping his soul to shreds. He felt completely helpless as he sank down deep into an endless pool of blackness. He felt as if he were drowning in the pool, yet death never came to relieve him. Instead, he choked violently under the dark water. There was no sense in trying to swim back to the top. Every cry for help would be unheard. Escape wasn't an option. Was it ever? He couldn't remember a time he didn't feel this way. No pill he swallowed took away the pain, no cut was ever deep enough to satisfy him. All he was left with were scars, which constantly reminded him of his condition.
Some days he thought he was happy, only to slip back into the pool again. No ground could be gained in the battle. Erick didn't want attention or to "talk about it." He only wanted solace. Out of pure desperation, he planned to do the unspeakable. "Here, now. In this room," his thoughts spoke loudly to him. With a shaking hand, he reached through the darkness in his room and felt around on the area of floor underneath his bed until he found it. His fingers caressed cool metal and his hand wrapped around the handle. Adrenaline shot through him and all fear was lost. Quickly, he snaps the barrel to his temple. Sweat pored from his palms as he re-gripped the handle. Feeling the metal against his flesh pulled him back down into reality hard. His sensible side spoke through the misery. "Don't do this, man. Don't do this." He took in a very deep breath and slowly let it out through his nostrils. Putting the gun down to his side, he softly spoke aloud, "What was i thinking?" He slid the gun back under his bed but kept it on his mind. Tears stopped falling. He began to feel numb all over. Staring blankly into the blackness, he lost all train of thought. Subconsciously he climbed back into bed. His eyes closed  for the final time that night. A few moments later, he drifted into a deep, uninterrupted sleep.

To be completely honest k feel as if you formatted this it could be a poem.
Its has a few errors but nothing else i would change.
Continues to be really discriptive and vivid.
I was nervous about erik pulling the trigger and there not being more.
Haha nice write. Continue.
