peacefull night

I was standing on my window yesterday night

Clear mind,clean head

for that one silent moment 

instead of being surrounded by shallow minds

who just keep searching for their perfect lie

one dark night cigarette in hand

silent view of the one

who shed

the tears at night but now instead only clean mind and clean head

Solace in silence, bliss in being completely alone. Our heads are our refuge from a kicking, screaming world, and sometimes we need to retreat in order to resupply our sanity and rebuild our defenses before facing the onslaught of reality. I really enjoyed the line "shallow minds who just keep searching for their perfect lie". So many people search for one unequivocal answer to their lives, when they should instead be looking inside themselves for meaning. Great poem! :)
