Girl just be your self, there’s no reason for you to put on a mask and trying to be a people pleasure. No one is perfect and it’s unfair for someone to put that expectation on you. We have all been there, there’s a point in life where you like who cares what others think they can either take you or leave you. You don’t lose anything in that. You are who you are, be proud of that.
Can't tell if this one is directed to a lover or a parent. Could be either. The speaker sounds needy, possibly giving too much importance to the addressee. I don't see a happy ending here.
Hard to make some people happy. Some people want perfection. No-one is perfect. I felt the emotion and the need in the words dear Nomo. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Most likely the other person doesn't deserve you...self-flagellation happens all too often...
Most of the time when we don't think we are good enough for another, the opposite is true.
The reason I've grown into an old shrew, down on whiny love poems, is becuz I spent too much of my life acting just like this, as described in your poem, as so many young people do, pining away half of themselves to some pompous undeserving other. Anyone deserving of one's attention would not be satisfied with someone who's trying to "be good" just to keep him/her, so this person is clearly not worth putting on this act. Sad, but all too often this is how some give themselves away (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
If these stories could speak
What would their characters say?
What would they do
Would they wonder why
They are just ink on paper?
Or would they seek something else?
Would they try to escape the.. more..
