We never know what is installed for us. We are all on the same page with this. But I guess that is what makes life so exciting and unpredictable. If we knew what was going to happen to us we would all be afraid of our own shadows. Life can be harsh but it can also be beautiful.
You know when I was six I can remember telling myself than in another six years I would be twelve a big girl. Couldn't wait to grow up. The time goes too fast Nomo. Slow down and live in the now. The future will take care of itself:) Don't even think about it :)
As an old person myself, your poem makes me remember how simple & idealistic we can be in our youth . . . a very good thing & sadly missing from many old fogey's mindsets. Later on, the mind-boggling nature of life, the way it hits us with tsunamis of good & bad, it pretty much keeps us off-balance the whole time so we're hardly thinking about the future, but just trying to negotiate the present moment. And isn't that what they all say we should do? Live in the present moment! *wink! wink!* Thank you for the imagination ramble (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
If these stories could speak
What would their characters say?
What would they do
Would they wonder why
They are just ink on paper?
Or would they seek something else?
Would they try to escape the.. more..
