Green Dreams

Green Dreams

A Poem by NomadKing1971

Green dreams, and pharaoh parades,

the new humans must be re-made

again and again;

new words and new sins,

we must conform as technology's

soulless control takes over;

things are not really what they seem,

dormant questions lay in your mind,

continuously and forever unanswered.

Be a witness to the magic,

as you catch on to tragedy-

the mystics grow strong;

a martyr's response is nothing if it is meaningless.

You ask another to be blessed,

when you can bless yourself with strength;

bless yourself with strength.

The ideas are so real and yet so ironic. This short and simple poem does reflect our ever-changing world along with all its little tragedies and weird tendencies. I specifically like the irony of the last three lines were I was made to ponder for a second why "You ask another to be blessed/when you can bless yourself with strength". Clearly, it speaks and understands with depth.

Keep Writing. ^___^
