‘Feed Them Yourself’

Two decades past I reach for my coffer

Trying to weigh my profits and gains so far

Diamonds, gold, silver “what a perfect fortune!

Thank you Amazing Love for all you have been”

Rains fecund, fruits bountiful surpassing tears

On my soul pouring for a score plus years

“Really all this just for me?” I believe not

“How about those who paid but nothing got?

Those, I mean, basking on the sun not for fun

Don’t they merit a stipend their wagons to run?

‘Feed them yourself,’” you challenge me

Glory to your name in so doing shall ever be

As all voices sweet praises back to you shall sing

“Rejoice, rejoice and be glad! Hail the loving King!”
