A man loses his wife and recite this on her grave

A very sad story of a lost love. I get the picture of a gray headstone with bright orange and yellow leaves scattered about the grave with the man holding limp roses or lilies in one hand, trying to hold his composure as he whispers to her grave.
It also keeps the reader wondering... How long were they together? How did she die? How long ago did she die?
Very good piece, definitely one that someone could read many times and get lost in the thoughts and questions that it brings.
