A dark nursey rhyme

A dark nursey rhyme is a tale I wrote to scare some people

A dark nursery rhyme
One for the kids

Go to sleep, close your eyes and rest
Because if you plan to survive the night
You must make sure the doors and windows are shut tight
At the end of your bed is a figure dressed in black
It opens the cupboard
It looks under your bed
You foolishly ask the figure what it’s doing
To which it replies… looking for demons
You try to scream but a hand goes over your mouth
Shh it says your parents aren’t going to save you
You have fear in your eyes
To what does the figure mean?
The stranger looks at the alarm clock and says
The light in the hallway hasn’t been put on tonight
You look and see then it hits home
Your parents aren’t here
The figure opens the cupboard door once again and says good bye
You run to find your parents but they are gone
The figure has taken them away but how in the space of 5 minutes
You run to the front door but it’s locked up tight
You lay on the sofa
You awake to see you’re not at home no more
You’re in a place where no one will find you
In another room are your parents trying to escape
Welcome to a place where hell has no power
