The QueenA Poem by NoctilucoAnother of my old works being dusted off to be reviewed. This was co-written by a person known as Lhyla Allegory and myself.Lhyla:
The vivid beauty one might see The Silken dress fanned in pride Prismatic colors wont subside A scarlet gold flash upon her crown She has your attention as the queen No other face could meet One so rare with a voice so sweet Pure poetry as easy she glides Shining through her heart of gold A rainbow vision with wings that unfold.
Myself:
Quite right! No other face could meet One so rare with a voice so sweet But look underneath that scarlet gold crown Did I witness a tear? A frown? Suddenly the vision ceases to be clear Contentment with her is replaced by fear You say Queen? A queen rules one. One castle; one kingdom I say Empress! For through that shining heart of gold She captured hearts in numbers untold She glides and flies upon souls! Souls trapped;only her as their goal I see that rainbow vision for what it is: A lie. she has no heart, so she consumes others; she is ever lost, ever sad. Fie! Though to the truth I have arrived Im lost to the colors that won't subside... © 2009 NoctilucoReviews
